The Maple Leaf Energy Services Ltd.’s Hydraulic-Mechanical Jar (HMJ) is a double-acting drilling jar designed to deliver hydraulic delay when jarring in the up direction and mechanical release when jarring in the down direction. The HMJ incorporates a latch mechanism to keep the jar locked in the neutral position, eliminating unexpected jarring when tripping or racking back in the derrick.
Reamers are available in 6-blade or 3-blade designs. Both designs include deep flutes for improved hole cleaning. They are manufactured with DS40 or 4FH connections. These reamers have a counter-spiraling design to reduce the risk of corkscrewing during reaming, creating a smoother and more accessible wellbore. Designed for reaming while drilling or for dedicated reamer runs.
The Easy Ride™ is a short, double-acting tool placed in the BHA between the motor and MWD collar. Easy Ride™ is cut to accommodate a float and has a nominal length, shoulder to shoulder, of 5.3 feet. When added to the BHA, it eliminates the need for a standalone float sub, increasing the survey point-to-bit distance by approximately 2.5 feet. Adding Easy Ride™ to the BHA reduces shock and vibration generated by aggressive drill bit and power section combinations, which negatively affect MWD tool string performance. As a result, it improves MWD reliability, reduces NPT, and saves time and money.
